MuseumsThe Borås Museum is devoted to local history. The museum is situated in a park, Ramnaparken, and has a number of old buildings. The Museum of Arts displays Swedish and international contemporary art and has a significant collection of Swedish art from the 20th century. The Museum of Textile History covers the textile heritage in the region and contains Europe's largest collection of textile manufacturing machines still in working order. The Museum of Medical History has exhibitions dealing with the conditions and possibilities of our human existence. The Museum of Biology has a collection of Sweden's most common birds and animals. The Fire Brigade Museum shows equipment and vehicles from four centennials. TheatreThe City Theatre each year gives 200 performances of their own productions.
