Education
The compulsory school comprises nine years plus a pre-school class. The municipal districts are responsible for the compulsory school, the pre-school and the ESN school, each in their geographical area.
Upper secondary school
There are five different schools at upper secondary level in the City of Borås. They offer a variety of different educational programmes. There is also one school handling the ESN tuition at upper secondary level. The Education committee is responsible for these schools.
Adult education
The municipal adult education offers education equivalent to the nine compulsory years and to the upper secondary school. There are also courses in Swedish for immigrants.
School of Culture
The School of Culture offers education in a number of topics and instruments, mainly to youths during their years in compulsory and upper secondary school.
University College
The University of Borås has got 15 000 students. The University is not a municipal organization - link to the University
